Can Oklahoma State Win the Big 12 This Year?

I can't decide what to think about Oklahoma State this year. They played Florida State close in the opening game of the year and they have a pretty easy schedule until the last 2 weeks of the season. It is perfectly plausible that the Cowboys are undefeated in the Big 12 heading into their final match-ups of the season with Oklahoma and Baylor.

Could be a very interesting year for the Oklahoma State cheerleaders and dancers.

Game of the Week Cheerleader Preview: (22) Clemson v. (1) Florida State

While the game may have lost a little luster based on Jameis Winston's potty mouth, but that doesn't mean it's not the Game of the Week. After all, we have a pretty serious early season ACC match-up going on that includes a couple of the hottest cheer squads in the country.

It is really hard to go wrong any time you have the Florida State cheerleaders on the same field as the Clemson cheerleaders. That is almost always going to be Game of the Week material!

Preparing Washington State Fans for the Beating That is Coming

Washington State football fans are going to have a hard time tomorrow, so I felt like it was my duty to prop them up today. The Wazzou cheerleaders may not have a ton to cheer about tomorrow in their game against Oregon, but that doesn't mean they aren't going to entertain their fans today!

Utah Dancer Rocking Some Attitude

She's got that whole "I'm a bad ass and you can't handle me" look to her. I like it. Not the look I was expecting out of a nice Utah girl!

Prop to bulgo125 for the picture!

Week 3 Winners: South Carolina

Just like Virginia Tech, the Gamecocks have been on both sides of the Weekly Winners feature so far this season. Luckily for the South Carolina cheerleaders, they were on the right side of the column this week!

Week 3 Winners: Boston College Eagles

Pretty sure no one saw this coming. Boston College has struggled for a few years, but they did just enough to hold off USC on Saturday night. Rushing for 452 yards will typically do that for a team. I bet our pal Jacqueline was stoked!

Week 3 Winners: East Carolina

Poor Virginia Tech. They were on top of the world last week when their game was part of the Weekly Winners segment. But this week they find themselves on the other side of the glass looking in. Don't worry Hokies, we all still appreciate what you did for us.

But losing to East Carolina at home is just unacceptable. I guess that's why they call it a hangover.

Week 3 Winners: Virginia Cavaliers

Virginia is quietly a very good football team that could make some noise in the ACC. Louisville might not be as good as they were last year, but this is still a solid win for the Cavaliers.

Vanderbilt Cheerleaders

One of our loyal readers shared some new pictures of the Vanderbilt cheerleaders from this season, so I thought I would share them today. Vandy has been having a rough time so far this season, so maybe these smiling Commodores cheerleader will brighten their fans' day!

Game of the Week Cheerleader Preview: (12) UCLA v. Texas

I realize this game isn't the marquee match-up we all thought it was going to be, but there really aren't many high quality games this week so we're going with a battle of two huge programs. Texas has been absolutely terrible so far this year, but it's not like UCLA is setting the world on fire either. I guess most of us are just holding out hope they will both right the ship today and put on a show.

But to be honest, the real reason I chose this game for the Game of the Week Cheerleader Preview is for the cheerleaders. Imagine that! These are both iconic cheer squads that deserve a little recognition right about now. And that is what we are all about here at College Cheerleader Heaven!

SI Cheerleader of the Week Feature with Central Florida's Brittany

I might be regretting this post in a couple of days. See, my Missouri Tigers host the Central Florida Knights tomorrow in what could be a tough game for my Tigers. Instead of posting pictures of the Golden Girls, though, I'm here sharing a new SI Cheerleader of the Week segment featuring UCF dancer Brittany.

I really hope this doesn't come back to bite me tomorrow! See the rest of Brittany's feature here. Photo credit to Yeung Photography!

This Girl Seems Like the Ultimate Nebraska Cheerleader

I'm not sure why, but this gorgeous blonde gives off the ultimate Nebraska cheerleader vibe to me. She's got the big smile, the big hair and the Midwestern girl-next-door appeal that just screams Nebraska to me. I can't be the only one, right?

Boston College Dancer Jacqueline is Super Classy

College and professional cheerleaders and dancers tend to be unfairly stereotyped as skinny ditzes that only care about their hair, clothes and popularity. School and community do not rank very high on their list of priorities allegedly.

Well, if you've spent any time at all checking out our cheerleader features, you know that stereotype is ludicrous.  The vast majority of the girls we've featured here (and on Pro Cheerleader Heaven) are incredibly talented, driven and wonderful people that you would be lucky to consider your friend.

Boston College dancer Jacqueline absolutely continues the long line of great people we've "discovered" while writing this blog. The sophomore business major has her eyes set on a top New York City accounting firm once she graduates from the Carroll School of Management (a Top 5 undergrad business school). Yeah, not so ditzy now, huh?

Beyond her brains, Jacqueline is a top notch dancer too. She is trained in ballet and has even danced in New York City with the Radio City Rockettes. That is pretty darn cool.

Jacqueline's loyalty to Boston College is remarkable. She continually called Boston College a "blessing" while extolling the virtues of her school and it's Jesuit underpinnings. She even skipped a chance to walk in a Fashion Week show in NYC so she wouldn't miss BC's season opener. That is dedication!

So be on the lookout for the "Next Jackie O." She's set to hit the world with hurricane force winds in a couple of years!

I Love This Arizona State Cheer Picture

This is such a great picture. Obviously she's gorgeous, so that's a big plus right off the bat. And she cheers for Arizona State, so that brings its own amount of cache to the party.

But more than all of that is the adorable girl-next-door vibe. Everything about this picture is an A+ in my book!

Week 2 Winners: Virginia Tech Hokies

In the biggest upset of the weekend, the Hokies of Virginia Tech went into the Horseshoe and absolutely shocked Ohio State. Nobody wins in Columbus. Especially not an un-ranked team from the ACC. Big night for VaTech and a terrible day for the Big 10.

Week 2 Winners: USC Trojans

It wasn't a huge upset according to the rankings, but we don't really concern ourselves with those kinds of things around here. Plus, any chance to feature the USC Trojan Dance Force dancers is just fine by us!

Week 2 Winners: McNeese State

I realize the Cowboys didn't actually pull off the upset of Nebraska this weekend, but any time an FCS squad walks into Lincoln and scares the bejesus out of the Nubs I consider that a win. So I'm calling McNeese state a winner this week!

Game of the Week Cheerleader Preview: (7) Michigan State v. (3) Oregon

We're back with the second part of our Game of the Week Cheerleader Preview doubleheader, and it's a doozy! A Top 10 battle between a couple of Power 5 conference mainstays is exactly what we need in the second week of the season. I cannot wait for this game to kick off tonight.

I'm sure it's going to be a quality game, but I'm more interested in seeing the Oregon Ducks cheerleaders for the first time this year lined up across the field from the Spartans. It's going to be a great night!

Game of the Week Cheerleader Preview: (14) USC v. (13) Stanford

We're going to have another 2-part Game of the Week Cheerleader Preview this week because we have yet another set of strong early season match-ups. The first game on our radar today is Stanford playing host to the Trojans of USC. The Pac 12 is full of talent this year, so we are going to be featuring plenty of games from out west during the season.

Beyond setting one squad up for head start towards a conference title, this game features one of the iconic college cheer squads in the USC Song Girls and one of the more underrated college cheer squads in the Stanford Dollies. Makes for a great Saturday afternoon in my mind!

I Found Boston College's Secret Weapon

Boston College hosts Pitt tonight in a battle of ACC rivals on ESPN. Unfortunately, the Eagles find themselves almost a touchdown underdog in their own stadium. After much scheming and research by the BC coaches, I think they have found their secret weapon: the BC cheerleaders! I'm guessing that every important play of the night is going to coincide with this ultra distracting move from the cheerleaders!

Genius plan if I've ever heard one. On a side note, make sure to be on the look out next week for a cheerleader feature on one of the most distracting BC cheerleaders!

I'm Rooting for Eastern Washington this Weekend

I got an email from a loyal reader sharing some great shots he's taken of the Eastern Washington cheerleaders so far this season. The Eagles are headed west this weekend to face their state's big dog: the University of Washington.

Since I now have a friend at EWU, I totally have a reason to root for a massive upset of the Huskies. Hopefully we'll see more of the Eagles cheerleaders in this week's Weekly Winners segment!
